The University of Surrey, UKIE (UK Interactive Entertainment organisation) and South East technology law specialist Charles Russell Speechlys invite you to join us for G3 Futures – where we will unveil some of our newest developments for the Games industry, hear from both games and mobile communications specialists as to how they see the future unfolding, and have the chance to network with colleagues.
The Games industry in the UK is in a state of evolution. As it adapts to greater technological innovation, the demands placed upon it by users and consumers of games make it an exciting, challenging and yet uncertain landscape.
Guildford is the UK epicentre of games: not only because it has the largest concentration of games organisations and creative development but also because it is the location of one of the country’s biggest investor in leading edge technology. The University of Surrey recently opened the UK’s first 5G research centre, developing 5G mobile communication infrastructure. In addition it is also developing and researching the next generation of video games performance capture and immersive audio experiences.
